Getting Your First 100 Customers

December 17, 20233 min read

Here are three ways to secure your first one hundred customers for your business. Doing so will help get your business off to a great start! 👊

1. Choose the Right Audience

As a woman you would never choose to be in a relationship with just anyone. You have certain criteria you try to stick to. That’s because you’re looking for the best fit possible for your heart, mind and life. Do the same thing when choosing the audience you want to serve.

Get out a piece of paper and pen. Now picture your perfect prospect. Now write down who you would love to have as a customer. Answer the following questions:

  • What are her pain points?

  • What is her annual salary?

  • What kind of person is she? Professional, homemaker?

  • How much might she spend on what I offer?

The goal is to get a clear picture of who your top customer is. These are the people who spend the most with you and tell others to do the same.

2. Provide Free Solutions

On your website, landing page or social media page give your prospect a free solution to their top problem. This will show them a few things about you and your business.

  • You have empathy for them and their problem

  • You’re uniquely qualified to solve their top problem

  • You can be trusted to help them overcome other problems

  • They will get high value working with you

Offering a free solution builds trust and your list of email subscribers. Imagine having a list of 100 subscribers. Next, you send them a low-cost offer to solve another problem they have. The price can range from $5.00-$9.95. What if each subscriber bought from you at $7.00 each? That means 100 x $7.00 = $700.00.

What could $700.00 do for you right now? Providing a free solution can lead to your new subscribers buying at higher amounts from you. And it’s the fastest way to gain 100 customers in thirty days or less!

3. Host a Webinar

This option requires more work. But the effort is worth it! You can do a free or reasonably-priced webinar. Depending on what you’re offering, pricing can range from $39.95 or more. My advice is to do your first webinar at no cost. Doing so can land you more than a hundred customers in one sitting. Here are some best practices for creating a free webinar:

  • Choose a topic or problem your audience wants solved the most

  • Launch a registration page with all the webinar details; time, date, etc.

  • Create a series of emails to build up to the date and time of your webinar

  • Offer one to three freebies that solve other problems your audience has

  • Make it clear only a certain number of seats are available.

  • Tell them once all seats are filled your registration page will be closed

There are more steps that go into creating a webinar. Believe me it’s worth the effort. Do it right and you could easily gain at least one hundred customers for your business!
