How Your Online Presence is Calculated

October 30, 20252 min read

So, what did you think of my last post about how your business is viewed online? Did those 7 areas I mentioned catch your attention?

Because when it comes to increasing awareness about your business, you MUST HAVE those 7 areas of your online presence in order. Otherwise, you can miss out on opportunities.

Today, we're going to look at how your online presence is calculated. Remember, this is all customer and prospect-driven. The more your audience does not like how you look online the more this downgrades your online presence scored. Okay, so, let's see how this scoring works.

Calculating Your Online Presence Score

This is another snapshot of a prospects report inside our Marketing Suite Success system. As you can see, the higher your online presence score (81%-100%) the better.

Like it says above, your score gives you a comprehensive view of your online presence. Meaning, this is how your customers and prospects see you online. But notice what it says next...

A higher score indicates a stronger online presence and marketing effectiveness. So, what does this mean in English?

The accuracy in online areas such as your:

  • Google My Business Profile

  • Social media channels

  • Business directory listings

  • Customer reviews

  • And other areas.

Determines how aware people are of your business online. This impacts the buying decisions they want to make while researching you and your competitors.

Maintaining Your Online Presence

Put in the effort to maintain your online presence. Nothing is more frustrating as a business owner when you miss out on a new customer. Do things like check your reviews. Respond to them as fast as possible.

Check to see if your contact information on business listings directors are accurate. The same with your Google My Business Profile. Is everything there up to date? If not, make that happen, my friend!

Next time, we are going to break down the specific areas in an Online Presence Report businesses don't have in order. Trust me, you will want to check yours too!
